Cancer registration – Why it matters and what you need to know
When a person is diagnosed with cancer in the UK information about them is automatically included in their national cancer registry. Information about their disease and the treatment they are receiving helps to:
Improve the quality of care
Plan cancer services
Track cancer rates and establish survival statistics.
